Product Description

Turbot fish are a relatively large flatfish found naturally in sandy, shallow European waters but because it is such a valuable fish it became one of the first farmed fish and can now be found all over the world. The turbot fish fillet is one of the most expensive, highly prized fish on the market due to its pronounced but delicate flavor and ability to retain its beautifully bright white meat even after being cooked. Though the flavor of a fillet of turbot is considered delicate, it is packed with a deep aromatic flavor. Therefore, it does not require much seasoning to enhance the natural flavor of its firm, flaky meat. As a flatfish, the whole turbot fish should yield four fillets with the back portions being meatier than its belly portions. In addition to the elite status of turbot fish for exceptional quality, taste and texture, the fish is also an excellent source of protein, selenium, potassium, magnesium, vitamin B12, vitamin B6, iron, and phosphorus! These nutrients serve to reduce inflammation in the body and stimulate brain function, boost immunity and metabolism, strengthen bone density and improve heart health. Our turbot fish is kosher certified by the CRC.
