Ahi tuna refers to brightly colored yellow tuna found in Hawaii as well as other tropical and subtropical water around the world. As a tuna, ahi is filled with immense nutritional value, containing a healthy dose of protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and an assortment of vitamins. As with meat, when seared, tuna’s natural moisture and flavor are locked in. The sear then adds an incredible smoky dimension to its flavor profile.
